Reception Studio Set-Up
Posted on January 30, 2010
At our last commission, Kate and Tyler’s reception, we tried out something new. We had been toying with idea of bringing along a studio set-up to wedding receptions and doing a photo booth. Since Kate and Tyler booked us for their reception (they had their wedding ceremony in Jamaica in December) we thought this would be a great opportunity to take the studio for a trial run. We were geeked about how well it went over. Everyone seemed to have a great time with it and we had a blast interacting with the guests.
Here are some of our favorites from Kate and Tyler’s reception!
This is something we are considering as an add on for future commissions.
We would love feedback!

I love it!!!!
Kai and Kayley. The “photo studio” was a great idea. I am very pleased that we do not have the ‘traditional’ photos around the table. This was an opportunity for all of us to get together and be crazy! You two brought out the best of all of us, (ok with a little air brushing). Thank you again for everything and best wishes to you both. Kayley, good luck with the TT!
I LOVE THIS!
Love the pictures! It really captured the great time had by all!
As a photobooth participant, striking the “Birdman” pose in front of photgraphers instead of a “rigged” booth was a ton of fun. We also sat boothside at the reception, and the wedding guests had a blast! Your photos of Kate and Tyler are both beautiful and creative!
I’m the bride’s mother, and I’d like to say that this was an absolute blast! The guests had so much fun having both nice and crazy pictures taken. It really added to the fun and brought out people’s creativity and silliness. Once people saw others having a good time with this, it became a big hit.
Love the pictures. Thank you for letting the commons be a part of the photos.
Love the photobooth. Captures the personalities of the guests along with the creativity and art of the photographer.
Gorgeous couple!!
Love your work Kai, great job!
