Jen and Nathan – Grand Rapids Engagement Photography

“You look at me and I begin to melt
Just like the snow when a ray of sun is felt.”

Grand Rapids, MI
Jen had me style her hair before her and Nathan’s engagement session! She also had her make up done. Normally this is something that most brides-to-be don’t consider for their engagement photos but what a difference it makes! Jen looked airbrushed before the pictures were even edited. This is something that I would definitely recommend for any photography session … it looked awesome!
This was our first engagement session of the season. We had a beautiful 60 degree week here in Michigan … and then this morning we woke up to snow. Typical! So glad we had this shoot before the weather took a turn for the worse!
Just couldn’t resist this heart shaped puddle! Aw …

Jen and Nate are getting married on August Twenty-One … 8/21!

And just when I thought I was behind the camera …
Commence traffic blur succession … front window …
… tail lights.
(Can anyone else tell what kind of car that is from these blurry photos? Kai can. His background in mechanical engineering is showing.)

Do parking garage shots ever get old? I think not.

Some off camera flash action …

After the session we all went to dinner at Rockwells. If you haven’t tried their shrimp rangoon, you ought to.

p.s. The blurry car is a Honda Insight.

these are amazing!!!
Ok, what happened to my “little assistant”?!? You guys rock. Wish I could say I taught you everything you know, but that would be so not true. Love it.
A heart-shaped puddle? Seriously? How do you two find this stuff?
I loved this post, Kayley (and Kai)! Really fun to hear a little more about your session. I agree that pro hair and makeup adds a nice touch to e-sessions, I wish more couples would do it.
Fave pic = rear window car photo.
Nice work guys, Jen’s pics. are “AMAZING”
