Sara and Craig – Grand Rapids Wedding Photography
Posted on September 24, 2010
Sara and Craig kicked off our fall weddings this year!
Autumn came right on time – It was a little chilly and overcast. A true September day.
(Okay, so autumn technically doesn’t start ’til the end of September, but in my mind, once August is over, so is summer.)
Sara and Craig had their ceremony at St. Roberts in Ada, MI.
Though we both know quite a few people who attend church there, it was our first time photographing a wedding there.
We were pleasantly surprised by all there was to work with around the ceremony site.
The beautiful field in the pictures was located right on church property!
After the ceremony, we headed downtown for more pictures.
We don’t often get the opportunity to work with such variety on a wedding day.
Thank you for the opportunity to photograph your special day, Sara and Craig!
Enjoy the preview!

You know she sets my soul on fire.

When my baby kisses me,
Chills run up and down my spine.”

Lauren’s Senior Pictures – Grand Rapids Portrait Photography
Posted on September 17, 2010
Hello, gorgeous!
Lauren is nothing short of stunning!
This was another K.H. collaboration.
Pictures by Kai. Styling, hair, make up by me.
For Lauren’s styling we picked items out of her current wardrobe.
They bought nothing but jeans and a belt!
We kept her hair and make up natural …
We curled her hair into loose waves and we stuck with soft browns on her eyes.
Enjoy your preview, Lauren!

Cassie and Steve – Grand Haven Engagement Photography
Posted on September 16, 2010
Cassie and Steve are friends of Lindsay and Adam, who you might remember from their jazz inspired wedding last fall.
They are getting married this fall in Grand Haven, so it was only fitting that they would have their engagement pictures taken there.
Kai had a great time shooting these two. They were so natural and clearly very in love.
After the session, I received a text message from him that said, “Best engagement session ever.”
When I was sorting through the pictures, I could see why.
We are both thrilled with the images.
Cassie and Steve, you guys rock! Can’t wait for the wedding!

“So you and I are dancing
for the only thing that holds
…
For love.
…
‘Cause love is a big deal.
And this love is ours to keep.”

Alexis’ Senior Pictures – Grand Rapids Portrait Photography
Posted on September 15, 2010
Alexis had a session with Kai last week downtown.
She is beautiful and was up for anything!
I tried out some new poses with her and was happy with the results!
Alexis also came in and had her hair cut with me a week or so before her session.
I’m loving that I’ve been able to contribute in other ways than photography for some of the sessions this year.
Enjoy!
