Lauren and Kyle – Ann Arbor Engagement Photography

Last weekend we headed out to Ann Arbor to photograph Lauren and Kyle’s engagement session. These two are absolutely destined to be together. Not only did they grow up near each other in Virginia, they also went to undergrad together at University of Virginia. Then when they both went to U of M to get their graduate degrees for achitecture, they finally met.

We had a blast photographing these two. They were so comfortable in front of the camera and basically posed themselves and laughed and kissed and did all of the things we normally would have told them to do. We just stood back and photographed them being … them!

Dana and Ethan – Brighton Wedding Photography

The most obvious word for me to use to describe this wedding is “joyful”. Dana and Ethan are completely perfect together and are so, so in love. Their families are close with one another and everyone was so happy to be a part of their big day.

Dana walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of “With or Without You”, and it was truly my favorite processional music to date. It was powerful and moving, just perfect for this musically inclined couple. They also sang a couple of their favorite worship songs during the ceremony, and watching them hold hands and sing so passionately together was my favorite part of their day.

Marilyn’s 80th Birthday – Grand Rapids Event Photography

Last weekend we had the pleasure of celebrating Marilyn’s 80th birthday with her family and friends. This was definitely an event to remember! The party was 1940s themed, and it definitely came across. The room was filled with memorabilia from that era and the guests even dressed in costume! Later in the evening guests were entertained by singing and dancing acts as well as a full live band. Our photo booth was also a huge hit!
