Camm and Stacy – Les Cheneaux Photography

Camm and Stacy were previously married in Vermont, but chose to have a small family gathering on their family’s property in the Les Cheneaux Islands right over the Mackinac Bridge. Relatives of Camm’s family built this retreat many years ago, and modeled it after a camp. There are multiple structures on the property including a living quarters and a separate building for the kitchen and dining area.

Camm and Stacy’s post-wedding event was so intimate and care-free. There wasn’t a strict schedule or tons of obligatory pictures. We simply milled about while the family enjoyed being in each other’s company. After dinner Kai did manage to grab a few shots of just Camm and Stacy. I’m always so impressed by what gorgeous shots he can capture in such a short amount of time. In this case, he took all of their portraits in roughly 15 minutes! All of the family members were so welcoming and we truly enjoyed being a part of their celebration. Congratulations, Camm and Stacy!

Marilyn’s 80th Birthday – Grand Rapids Event Photography

Last weekend we had the pleasure of celebrating Marilyn’s 80th birthday with her family and friends. This was definitely an event to remember! The party was 1940s themed, and it definitely came across. The room was filled with memorabilia from that era and the guests even dressed in costume! Later in the evening guests were entertained by singing and dancing acts as well as a full live band. Our photo booth was also a huge hit!
