Announcing our new family addition!
Meet our brand spankin’ new, 12 week old, muppet kitty named “Epworth”.
Wondering about the name?
Epworth is the name of a cottage community in Ludington where we stayed the weekend after our wedding. Those of you who know our dog “Shanty” may already know that her name was taken from the specific cottage we stayed in, “The Shanty”.
Right now we are keeping them separate with supervised play sessions. Epworth is cool as a cucumber while Shanty, staying true to her personality, is a little over excited. We hope they are acquainted and the best of friends soon.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to apologize for the lack of personal posts on our blog. We are hoping sometime this winter Kai will finally have time to edit some of our vacation photos from places such as Texas, Austria, Italy, and Grand Cayman. Until then, the posts on here will remain primarily client work. Wedding season is upon us!
Anyway, here’s to Epworth and the hope that our pets will be buddies.

Matt Giraud

Yes, I openly admit I am an American Idol fan
… and tonight, my favorite was voted off.
Even after a stunning rendition of “My Funny Valentine”
Matt Giraud left the competition tonight.
Boo!
Well, the show certainly won’t be as interesting without him.
Keep your eyes (and ears) peeled for him in the future
because this certainly is not the end!
Matt, you are “brilliant”!

Colorado Weekend Trip

At the end of September Kai and I drove out the Colorado to photograph Susan and Steve’s engagement photos, which you might remember from a previous entry. We spent most of our time with Susan and Steve although we did have one day where we drove for over ten hours through the winding mountain passes of Colorado. This gave Kai a great opportunity to take pictures of the beautiful yellow aspen that were emerging all over the mountainsides. We’re looking forward to return to Colorado the first weekend in May to photograph Susan and Steve’s wedding!
